About the Role
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Provide carbon technical expertise for projects in several sectors, including energy efficiency, fuel switching, clean energy, etc.
● Conduct feasibility studies, design baseline surveys, and develop monitoring and tracking mechanisms
● Demonstrate a deep understanding of CDM/Verra/GS methodologies for sector-specific projects
● Design and facilitate local stakeholder consultations to ensure inclusive project development
● Write Project design and performance reports, and develop emissions reduction (ER) calculations
● Manage project validation and verification processes with VVBs (Validation and Verification Bodies) and DOEs (Designated Operational Entities)
● Develop comprehensive Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories for accurate carbon accounting
● Stay up to date with evolving methodologies and tools in the field of carbon accounting to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting
Requirements
Job Role Program Manager :
- Department Sustainability Minimum Experience 2+ years
- Qualification BSC/MSC Environmental science (PHD Preferred)
- Location Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
REQUIRED SKILLS
● Carbon Accounting: A strong understanding of carbon accounting principles, including carbon offset methodologies such as CDM, Verra, and GS. Familiarity with emission reduction calculations and knowledge of ER projects in community settings.
● Technical Expertise: Proficiency in carbon-related technologies and tools. Knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory methodologies, emissions tracking systems, and carbon calculation software.
● Communication and Facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with local stakeholders, conduct consultations, and write comprehensive project reports. The ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience is essential. ● Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse project environments, including remote or field-based settings.
